By far one of the best scary movies I’ve ever seen, and the reason: it messes with your psyche more than anything. It’s not gory, there are no overly made-up monsters; it’s just creepy, plain and simple – a very interesting mind-fuck, if you will.
I don’t want to give the entire movie away so I’ll just say it’s about a messed up father whose past basically fucks with everyone. Shitty description I know but I don’t want to ruin the movie by giving up its whole synopsis.
I have no idea why this movie isn’t mentioned more. I was introduced to it by my parents about 10 years ago and I’ve yet to meet anyone who’s seen it or even heard of it. Since 2008’s The Changeling came out anytime I mention this movie I usually have to follow it up with “not that Angelina Jolie bullshit.” Anyway, this is a great watch and the best part is……..
Because it came out so long ago (at least I’m guessing that’s why) the entire movie is on YouTube. Just click the link below and enjoy! You’re welcome.
I’ve never seen this, though I saw many 80s horror movies. Looks like a good one to check out this month. 🎃

It’s soooo good!! It genuinely creeped me out the first time I saw it, and as corny as it sounds they really don’t make movies like that anymore. I hope you enjoy it!

This movie really informed my appreciation of true cinema horror. It would be fair to say that it disturbed me since I saw it at a tender age. The wheelchair sequence is a visceral thrill and is terror amped to the max.It was filmed at a house in a neighbourhood called Shaughnessy in Vancouver BC, which I believe is still there, the house, that is. I lived a ten minute bus ride from it.
